Curriculum

At our independent kindergarten, we believe that meaningful learning happens when children are actively engaged and able to connect their experiences to the world around them. Guided by Alberta’s provincial curriculum and programs of study, our kindergarten program embraces a play-based approach that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. The curriculum includes six key areas of learning:

Each area is thoughtfully designed to support the development of every child's unique strengths and potential. Our play-based framework allows children to explore concepts at their own pace, apply their knowledge in hands-on ways, and make meaningful connections across subjects. We place a strong emphasis on critical thinking, encouraging children to ask questions, solve problems, and approach challenges with creativity and persistence. Through open-ended exploration and guided inquiry, children develop the ability to think flexibly, evaluate information, and make thoughtful decisions, skills that are essential for success in school and in the future.

Expert Teachers

We provide an engaging environment that sparks curiosity and sets a solid foundation for learning. Our caring, Alberta certificated teachers are dedicated to fostering a love for learning through play, exploration, creativity and critical thinking.

Facilities

Our classrooms are designed with young children in mind. The classroom setup is intentional, with carefully chosen learning centers arranged with thought and care. The core centers for play-based learning are: dramatic play, blocks, sensory, art, literacy, mathematics and science.
